The American pop singer Pink burst in to the music industry in the year 2000. Her rebellious nature and signature pink hair, along with her remarkable song writing skills have gained her popularity world wide. She has sold over 31 million albums worldwide and her fan base has kept growing.
Born in Pennsylvania on the 8th of September in 1979, Pink’s actual name is Alecia Moore. This mega star has always wanted to be a singer and was inspired by the works of Madonna, Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, Janis Joplin among others. Her solo career soared after the signed up with record label LaFace Records and the release of her first debut ‘Cant take me home’. She has watched many of her work reach gold and multi-platinum record levels.
She claims to derive her name from the movie ‘Reservoir Dogs’ from the character Mr. Pink played by Steve Buscemi. Pink is a vegetarian and a die hard supporter to PETA. With her signature husky voice, thought provoking lyrics and outrageous outfits, her Funhouse tour is sure to be a dynamic performance. Her album Funhouse has reached four time platinum status in the UK and sold over 3.6 million copies worldwide.
